Ingredients

1 lb Kielbasa sausage

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

1/4 cup BBQ sauce

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Skewers (optional for serving)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Slice the Kielbasa sausage into 1-inch thick rounds, then make vertical cuts in each round (without cutting all the way through) to create a fan or Hasselback effect. This helps the bites absorb more flavor.

In a mixing bowl, combine the maple syrup, BBQ sauce, Dijon mustard, olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine into a smooth sauce.

Place the sliced Kielbasa on the prepared baking tray. Brush or drizzle the sauce generously over each piece, ensuring the sauce gets into the cuts.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, basting the bites halfway through with remaining sauce, or until the edges are crispy and lightly caramelized.

Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes.

Transfer the Kielbasa bites to a serving platter, and garnish with fresh chopped parsley for a pop of color.

If desired, serve with skewers for easy handling or simply enjoy as is.
